The ICRT Animal Reiki Level I & II class is designed for Reiki practitioners who want to build meaningful relationships with animals and learn how to offer Reiki in a way that honors their unique needs and spirits.
Whether you're already sharing energy with animals or just beginning to explore that path, this course will help you expand your practice with new tools, techniques, and a unique life force energy that is as profoundly healing for animals as it is for humans and our connection to the natural world.
This refined energy attunes each student to the Animal Reiki symbol, unifying it with your existing Reiki energy and symbols, and allows you to channel Reiki specifically for animals.
You’ll come away with the confidence to share Reiki with animals both in person and from a distance, while developing your own intuitive style and deepening your connection to all living beings.
This class is a combination of lecture, discussion, and practice and is open to all Reiki lineages.
Animal Reiki Level I & II Class Outline
In this course, you will learn:
The history and foundation of ICRT Animal Reiki
What Animal Reiki is and how it honors the unique needs of animals
A refresher on Usui Reiki symbols and techniques
Introduction to the Animal Reiki energy symbol — The Tree of Life
Animal Reiki I & II Placements (formerly called attunements)
Garden of Forgiveness Healing Experience
Animal Reiki techniques for both in-person and distant sessions, including:
Preparation exercises and meditations
Working with single animals or groups
Using photos, written notes, live webcams, and more
Creating respectful and effective sessions, including:
Receiving animal consent
Adapting to different environments (home, shelter, clinic, etc.)
Developing your own intuitive style
Common healing issues for animals, including:
Disharmony, grief, confusion, illness, loneliness
Behavioral challenges, unfulfilled purpose, and end-of-life transitions
Practitioner care and boundaries, including:
Compassion fatigue
Balancing empathy with energetic sustainability
Supporting animals at end-of-life (natural or euthanasia)
Practice time with animals (in-person or online, depending on class format)
Building a thriving Animal Reiki practice, including:
Working in shelters, vet clinics, sanctuaries, zoos, therapy programs, and wildlife rehab

Meet Your Teacher
Willow began her Animal Reiki journey training with world-renowned Animal Reiki teacher Kathleen Prasad. Since then, she has gained extensive experience as a professional Animal Reiki Practitioner and Teacher, including hands-on work with abused and injured animals through the SPCA and in clinical settings as a Veterinary Assistant. Her teaching is grounded in years of real-world experience working with a variety of species from diverse backgrounds.
