Reiki For Pets
If an animal has brightened your days, made you laugh, listened without judgment, snuggled close through hard times, or loved you without condition, then you know what a true gift they are.
Animal Reiki is a beautiful way to give back to your animal companion and honor the unconditional love, comfort, and joy they bring to your life. For healthy animals, Reiki helps maintain balance, deepens relaxation, and supports emotional well-being. For animals who are ill, recovering, or showing signs of stress or behavior changes, Reiki offers a peaceful, non-invasive approach that complements traditional veterinary care.
What Is Animal Reiki?
Reiki is an energy therapy that allows your animal to enter a deeply relaxed, meditative state that ignites their bodies' own innate healing abilities. If your animal experiences pain, anxiety, fear, or trauma, Reiki can help bring ease and harmony to body, mind, and spirit
Why Choose Reiki for Your Animal?
Reiki is widely recognized as a complementary modality for humans and is now being embraced in the animal world for its gentle effectiveness. It’s non-invasive, stress-free, and does not require direct physical contact to be effective.
Animals are naturally sensitive to energy and quickly recognize Reiki as supportive. Typically they will approach as a willing participant and take charge of their own treatment. During a healing session the animal will accept Reiki in the ways that are most comfortable for them, either hands-on or from a distance or a combination of the two. Reiki is always offered with permission and never forced.
How Animal Reiki Works
In a healthy animal, energy will flow through the body much like an electric current. Any blockages of this energy can manifest into physical, psychological or behavioral problems. Animal Reiki helps restore that healthy flow of energy, clearing blockages and rebalancing the system to support healing and well-being on all levels.

“Willow has been working with our rehab horses that come into the care of the BCSPCA through cruelty investigations. These horses often come in with behaviour issues, little to no handling, anxiety, fear and stereotypical coping behaviours. During sessions with Willow, stress is reduced, stereotypes decrease or are almost eliminated, and some horses become so relaxed they end up taking a nice long nap! I would highly recommend her services to anyone – humans and animals alike!” – Leiki Salumets, Farm Animal Care Supervisor, BCSPCA.
